Emitter
New Single “Not Over” | November 6, 2026Some stories are too important to leave unfinished. For Chicago’s modern rock quartet Emitter, the story is far from over.Following the long-awaited release of their critically anticipated album Extra Pale in April 2026, Emitter returns with “Not Over,” an electrifying new single arriving November 6, 2026. The song marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for a band whose passion for creating meaningful, authentic rock music has only grown stronger with time.Blending beautiful melodies, guitar-driven hooks, and the unmistakable voice of frontman Jason Chappell, Emitter delivers a sound that is both timeless and immediate. Drawing comparisons to artists ranging from U2 to Foo Fighters, the band’s music is deeply soulful, emotionally resonant, and unapologetically human. At its core, Emitter has always been about storytelling, brotherhood, resilience, and the enduring power of love and music. The band’s remarkable resurgence began with Extra Pale, an album originally recorded nearly two decades earlier at The Pop Machine in Indianapolis with Marc and Eric Johnson, featuring legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff. After years on the shelf, the recordings were brought back to life with acclaimed mixing engineer Marc Daniel Nelson. Released April 17, 2026, the album marked Emitter’s triumphant return. The critically acclaimed record peaked at number 29 on the iTunes charts. But Extra Pale wasn’t the end of the story. It was the beginning of something bigger. With “Not Over,” Emitter turns the page, delivering fresh music that captures the band’s renewed creative energy and determination to keep moving forward. The single serves as a bridge between the band’s celebrated past and an ambitious future, setting the stage for an upcoming EP planned for spring 2027. For that project, Emitter will collaborate with legendary producer and engineer Robert L. Smith, whose distinguished career has included work with some of music’s most iconic artists.Comprised of Jason Chappell (vocals/guitar), Steven Dale (guitar), David Schoon (bass), and Edd Merkel (drums), Emitter is proving that great music has no expiration date.Twenty years in the making, their return was worth the wait. And they’re just getting started.“Not Over” arrives November 6, 2026, on all major streaming platforms.
